ButterFlips Artisan Jewelry is Designed and Hand-Crafted by Another Man's Treasure
on the South Shore of Lake Ontario in New York State, USA.
*I
started my business, Another
Man's Treasure,
in
1991. At
that time I sold hand-crafted items antique, and
collectibles from the famous Crafts and Antique
Co-op on Canning Street in Hilton, NY. That
wonderful old building, with
its open to the roof main area and a balcony all
around on the second floor, was
originally an apple processing and cider mill
factory. It
really had a great rustic atmosphere. Customers
came from everywhere. We had
over 200 vendors. Tragically, in
1995 it burned to the ground. *In
1993 I open a shop at Point Breeze called The
Treasure Chest. It was
strictly a seasonal business.
*After
that we thought that we wanted warmer weather and
moved to South Carolina. Boy,
we sure did get our wish. It was
really hot there. That
is when I first started my on-line venture. It
was a new experience. I also
started doing trade shows and craft shows.
*In
2001 after 9/11 we decided to come back home to
NY so we could be closer the our families. Now I
only work at home and sell over the internet and
locally. In the
summer, I work
in the gardens.
During
the winter months, I keep
busy making jewelry,
crafts, and
dolls.
*I
think that my first love ( after hubby ) is
gardening and next would be making jewelry. I
really like making chainmaille. Copper
is my favorite metal.
*For
those of you who are concerned about health
issues, my
home is a 'no smoking zone'. There
is no lead in any of my jewelry components.
*I
hope you enjoy my site.
